"Chef's Table" single-handedly ignited a creative revolution in me that I still have no words for. To me, it had little to do with cooking and everything to do with thinking differently, seeking excellence and annihilating the expected. Creatively and personally I found myself taking more risks and experiencing a freedom I had never felt before. I started my own creative company, Mayer-Out Mixed Media, named for my new outside-the-box thought process.

In the end, the question I asked myself in the beginning was a stupid one based on preconceived stereotypes. I've proven to myself that I can stay true to my artistic affinities while paying the bills and having some fun doing it. This is the best gig in the world.
But I'm still on the hunt for my dream job, and like Bono...
